Description
This presentation, provided by Diversity Science, explores unconscious bias and stereotype threat, how each can negatively affect healthcare, and provides strategies to best overcome.

By the end of the presentation, the learner will better be able to discuss and/or identify:
  • Protect yourself and others from unconscious biases when treating and communicating with patients.
  • Provide quality care to patients while also caring for your mental health.
  • What stereotype threat is and how it affects each of us.
  • Strategies to prevent stereotype threat.
