Pediatric course - ENGLISH VERSION
ESI is a valid and reliable five-level Emergency Department triage system. This online course helps you and your Emergency Department colleagues to further understand the ESI program, better identify patients who should be seen first while prioritizing the care of patients with less emergent conditions. A well-implemented ESI program will help hospital ED’s rapidly identify patients in need of immediate attention and train you and your colleagues in swift decision-making skills resulting in improved patient outcomes.

While some pediatric content is covered in the Adult/Pediatric ESI web-based training course, this course provides health care professionals who are new to ESI or new to pediatric emergency nursing with a strong foundation and comprehensive review of the core principles of the ESI triage system as it relates to the pediatric patient. This course highlights the differences between pediatric and adult triage, as well as some of the nuances of the ESI system that novices can find challenging.
