Description
The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recognizes other acuity systems along with the Emergency Severity Index (ESI). ENA supports the use and application of a reliable, valid, 5-level scale to triage patients in the Emergency Department. This course introduces the more commonly used triage acuity scales including the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS), Australian Triage Scale (ATS), and the Manchester Triage System (MTS). All triage acuity scales aim to determine the priority of care appropriately and accurately.
