The course will describe the triage process and defend the need for an unbiased approach to triage. Course expires 10/31/2025.
Description
To establish priorities and effectively manage patient flow, all patients presenting to the emergency department (ED) require triage. Triage includes a focused assessment, with the goal of recognizing the patient’s immediate needs. To ensure objective decision-making in triage, the nurse must approach the patient without bias to ensure the patient receives proper prioritization and treatment.
