Intimate Partner Violence Webinar
Understand the responsibilities of ED nurses in the identification and intervention opportunities for clients presenting with suspected IPV. Course expires 5/20/2022.
Description
Intimate Partner Violence is a serious public health concern that can result in numerous long-term negative physical and psychological effects. Researchers have investigated the effectiveness of screening for IPV within healthcare settings and concluded there was insufficient evidence to justify universal IPV screening. Nurses practicing in emergency departments (ED) are expected to recognize, assess, and intervene when patients present with suspected IPV. This webinar will discuss Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Clinical Practice Guidelines.
