Description

Implicit bias is the unintentional, negative evaluation of others based on race, socioeconomic status, or sexual orientation. Studies have shown that implicit bias has a negative effect on patient care. This course guides you through identifying implicit biases within yourself and your work environment by having you reflect on scenarios and emergency department experiences.

Learners will be awarded 0.5 CNE contact hours upon a complete review of the course and submitting an evaluation. Course expires 10/31/2026.

The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider Unit #P0232.
