Earners of this badge have successfully completed all modules in the ED Nurse Leadership Pathway 2.0 designed to align with the AONL Nurse Leader Competencies. This program includes six targeted courses: Emergency Department Manager’s Reference Guide, Emergency Department Throughput, Financial Management, Change Theory, Managing Staff Expectations, and Rebuilding Your Team. Through these courses, nurse leaders gain essential knowledge and skills for managing challenges, leading effective teams, and improving emergency department performance.
Criteria
Registered nurses in a new leadership position or those aspiring to be nurse leaders
Completion of six courses within the pathway
Completion of course evaluation and post activity quiz
Claiming of the continuing education hours
Knowledge
Develop foundational leadership skills, including communication, conflict resolution, and team management
Gain insight into financial management to support operational efficiency
Apply methods for leading organizational change, mentoring others, and fostering a positive work culture
