Pdf Summary
The Emergency Nurses Association is hosting reflection sessions for residents. The sessions will take place over a span of 12 weeks and will last for 2 hours each. The sessions will be facilitated by an educator and all residents are expected to attend.

During each session, residents will be expected to discuss several topics. This includes a complex patient case, such as a higher level of care transfer or a patient requiring an emergent surgical procedure. They will also discuss a patient case in which they had not completed a certain component of care before, such as nitroglycerin administration or transcutaneous pacing.

Furthermore, residents will discuss a specific clinical detail that they learned during a shift, as well as any additional questions or concerns they have. In addition, if any of the following occurred, residents will be prepared to discuss: a patient resuscitation effort, a patient death, or a mandated reporting occurrence.

These reflection sessions aim to provide residents with an opportunity to review and discuss their experiences, allowing them to learn from their cases and enhance their skills as emergency nurses.
