The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) is conducting a program evaluation of the residency program in which participants are being asked to participate. Participants will need to submit self-evaluations online at weeks 3 and 18, using their program ID number and hospital ID number. Program directors will also need to submit data online for each resident at weeks 3 and 18, using the respective resident's program ID number and the hospital's ID number. At week 18, participants will be asked to complete an evaluation of the residency program along with submitting their LCJR scores. Demographic information about participants' nursing experience will be required. Participants will also provide hospital/ED demographic information, such as patient population type and trauma center status.<br /><br />The data collected in this evaluation will be used solely by the ENA research team and will not be shared with hospitals, supervisors, colleagues, or others. Findings will be reported as a summary of information and may be published in peer-reviewed journals or presented at nursing conferences. The data will also be used to revise the residency program as needed. The certificate of confidentiality obtained from the National Institutes of Health will protect participants' privacy, allowing researchers to legally refuse to disclose identifying information in any proceedings, except for auditing or evaluation purposes by federal or state government agencies sponsoring the project or when disclosure is required by the FDA.
